Microsoft Store – Harman Kardon Invoke $50

October 20, 2018

Before Black November, I need to revisit whether cashback sites will pay out in specific scenarios. I want to see if paying by Microsoft Account balance (leftover obtained at a discount) would still register on Perks at work.

Microsoft Store allows you to buy hardware now using the account balance; previously you could only purchase digital goods with this balance.

This Cortana speaker was originally listed at $200 when it was released last October (2017)

  • Discount: Microsoft US store selling $100 item for $50
  • Cashback: Perks at work (2% with 5 star status)
  • Payment: Pay with Microsoft Account balance. Use bing rewards for Xbox Balance or buy Xbox Balance at 10-15% under face value

Estimated Total: $49.95 + 3.12 (tax) – 5.31 (assume 10% discount on balance) – 1.00 (100 pts cashback) = $46.76

You can buy anything you want with proper planning
